It is tradition to save the top tier of your wedding cake and eat it on your first Wedding Anniversary. So we did it. Last year I looked up online how to preserve a wedding cake. I wrapped it in plastic wrap, foil, another layer of plastic wrap, another layer of foil, two types of plastic bags and finally in an oven bag.
It worked! We took the top tier in an ice chest to Avila Beach this weekend and put it in the fridge when we arrived. It thawed out great and tasted pretty good.

Good job on preserving the cake babe. Too bad we couldn't take the left overs home.
We were very lucky that everyone didn't complain at all about the heat, we just had a good laugh. Thanks guys.
Congratulations sister and brother! You have one year under your belt....wooooohoooo! Hey....it only gets better and sweeter.
Love you both,
Elisa
Wow, and I think it's going really good right now.
I remember we had little fans pointed at your face during our photo shoot. And good god those shoes were painful! I was such a cow.
