Avila La Fonda Hotel

This weekend Fernando took me to Avila Beach to celebrate our one year wedding anniversary. The hotel he picked out was awesome! Once you walked into the lobby it felt like you were in Mexico, minus all the Mexicans. The floors were tiled, there were water fountains, stained glass windows and Diego Rivera paintings on the wall. It was so nice. I loved it!
Our room was really cute. And I especially liked the complimentary snack basket. They also had available 24/7 hot chocolate chip cookies, fruit, tea, coffee and juice. I think I ended up eating 6 cookies over the course of three days. Ooops. It was the Alvarado in me. It was free so every time we passed the lounge it was very difficult not to take one.

Gotta love the jetted tub in the bedroom!

This is after check out and I was finishing up my last cookie for the weekend.

Good thing there is no free home made cookies here at home. :)

We would be in trouble. You would have to roll me out of bed each morning.

I did the same thing when we went to Newport!!!! They were chocolate, chocolate chip, fresh every afternoon! Oh, I can taste them now!!! Yes, the Alvarado gets the best of us sometimes, Ha! We didn't have the jetted tub, but the hotel had a good selection of DVD movies to choose from that were free for the viewing....kinda cool. So glad you two had fun!

Well actually if we were really like Daddy Alvarado we would have taken more than one each time and saved them. If dad stayed at our hotels he would have left with about a dozen cookies.
